I'm an Artist
living in Big Sky, Montana.
I have been compelled to make art since I was a child.
I have always had a vision in my head needing to manifest in art form,
whether drawing or painting with any medium. After a childhood filled with
Colorado and Montana mountains, art and endless encouragement, I attended
the Art Institute of Portland in Oregon for a BFA in Graphic Design.
After graduating in 2007 I began to focus on my true passion, painting,
with the wealth of the West’s natural beauty as my inspiration.
After 9 years in the Pacific Northwest, I chose to move home
to the mountains of Montana, my most influential muse.
Every day I take the time to look around at the beauty surrounding me,
I am filled with visions of paintings far more numerous than the hours
I have available to paint. With only one college painting class as formal training,
I have chosen to focus my energy on developing my own unique
way of painting. My style is attributed to the roughness of a palette knife,
the use of a spray bottle in dripping and mixing bright saturated colors,
mixed mark making, and spiritual and animal forms or abstract landscapes.
I often start a painting without knowing what it will become.
This process of discovery is thrilling and a constant learning experience.
I paint in many forms and sizes, but working large is my passion and
the most exhilarating. Murals and larger canvas pieces are what fuel
my creative freedom and artistic fire.
Features
My work has been featured in Explore Big Sky and can be found wrapped
on local utility boxes around town. I also have paintings currently hanging at Big Sky Resort,
Beehive Basin Brewery, Mountain Pearls Dentistry, and the Big Sky Artists' Collective
Studio & Gallery in Big Sky Town Center.
For the last five years I have had the opportunity to have my work featured
in the Arts Council of Big Sky's Auction for the Arts as part of the silent auction.
In the summer of 2018, I was chosen along with two other talented Bozeman artists
to have my work featured as wrapped outdoor murals on the exterior of the
South Rows condominiums, a new development off of South 19th in Bozeman.
More information about that project can be found at

In the spring of 2019, I collaborated with PROBAR to create limited edition packaging
for a special box of their meal bars in which part of the proceeds of each box go to
support the US Ski & Snowboard teams. More information about that collaboration
